Project Manager Strategy & M&A, Diagnostic Services (m/w/x) in Berlin

Medicover is a specialised provider of diagnostic and healthcare services, focused on Central and Eastern Europe and India. It operates through two divisions: Diagnostic Services, offering laboratory testing via 104 labs, 876 blood-drawing points, and 27 clinics in markets like Germany, Ukraine, Romania, and Poland, and Healthcare Services, providing high-quality care through 25 hospitals and 117 clinics, mainly in Poland, Romania, and India.

As Project Manager Strategy and M&A, you will shape the Diagnostics Division's international strategy, working with business leaders across units, and gain insights into healthcare advancements like gene sequencing and precision medicine. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and M&A, this role is based in Berlin and focuses on our German business, with occasional travel.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparation of international market analyses and identification of diagnostics trends and innovations
• Development of business plans for new ideas and opportunities
• Project management for key strategic initiatives
• Strategy workshops with business unit leaders and other senior stakeholders
• Preparation of presentations for Medicover’s executive team and supervisory board
• Preparation of business cases as a basis for decision-making
• Coordination and support of the post-merger integration for selected deals
• transformation of our largest business unit Germany in close collaboration with the German leader

Potential M&A activities could include
• Identification of potential acquisition opportunities and growth markets
• Modelling of company evaluations with the help of financial and market data
• Coordinating the M&A process with advisors and preparing negotiations with the target

Your Profile:

• You have completed a degree in business administration / economics or a health-related scientific degree with extensive training in business administration
• You have several years of professional experience in strategy development and project management from positions within corporates, management consulting, investment banking or private equity
• You have had exposure to the healthcare / life science industry via project or previous positions
• Knowledge of the M&A processes and especially post-merger integrations
• You have a good knowledge of stakeholder management and a great deal of sensitivity in interpersonal relationships, remaining calm even in stressful situations
• You are highly solution-oriented and have a proactive way of working
• With an analytical mind-set, you are reliable & deliver on your commitments
• You are openly share your knowledge with your colleagues, also across departments and internationally
• Excellent knowledge of German and English, both written & spoken is required
• Excellent knowledge of common Office applications (especially Powerpoint and Excel)
• Willingness for occasional travel in Germany and potentially across Central and Eastern Europe
