Medicover is a specialised provider of diagnostic and healthcare services, focusing on markets mainly in Central and Eastern Europe and India. The company operates through two divisions – Diagnostic Services and Healthcare Services.
Diagnostic Services - provides a broad range of laboratory testing in all major clinical pathology areas. The business is conducted through a network of more than 104 laboratories, 876 blood-drawing points (BDPs) and 27 clinics. Major markets are Germany, Ukraine, Romania and Poland.
Healthcare Services - offers high-quality care based on an Integrated Healthcare Model. The basis for this is a network of over 25 hospitals and over 117 clinics and medical facilities. Major markets are Poland, Romania and India.

This is a new role in Diagnostic Services and our aim for this role would be to implement and lead a sustainability framework that goes beyond compliance to create measurable positive impact using health impact and environmental targets, establishing internal community engagement programmes and ensuring transparent governance.

You will be responsible for

  • Analysis of sustainability data from across the Diagnostic Services division (financial & non financial) to enable us to have a clear understanding of our current performances
  • Defining with key stakeholders – Diagnostic Services Leadership, Medicover Group Sustainability – the targeted priorities to create positive impact in sustainability areas and making lasting improvements/developments to how we operate
  • Providing the expertise and knowledge to leadership & other stakeholders on the areas to focus on and actions to take
  • Creating the framework within the division that manages and supports the implementation of agreed initiatives and projects
  • Manage the portfolio of sustainability projects across the Diagnostic Services Division, agreeing with senior stakeholders on the KPIs to be followed and reported
  • Preparing reports and presentations on behalf of Diagnostic Services outlining the targets, actions and projects, and expected and delivered results
  • Following sustainability trends, regulations and requirements, you will identify any possible gaps in current versus future reporting requirements and manage the interpretation of these requirements into calculation methodologies, defining KPIs and supporting Business Units in their understanding and delivery of this data
  • Engaging with and motivating people in Diagnostic Services to understand and be aligned to the common objectives and targets, communicating across the Division on successes and outcomes and supporting the depth of knowledge pertaining to sustainability in the Division

Your Profile

  • University Degree in Economic Science, Business, Environmental Studies or related discipline
  • 5-7 Years Experience, working with an international organization/consultancy firm, of which min 3 years should be in the area of Sustainability (preference for experience in the area of Environment)
  • Experienced in working in a matrix organization, collaborating with people across different levels
  • Skilled in engaging with and managing senior stakeholders’ collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to interpret and challenge data and results
  • Excellent Project Management Skills – across defining, deploying, delivering
  • Well Organised, Assertive & capable of working independently
  • Excellent English – written, spoken. German would be an advantage
  • Ability to travel – 20% of your time
  • Working location could be Romania, Germany, Poland
